MEP contracting for symbol of tomorrow
Expo 2020 is one of the globes most iconic projects and is a jewel in the crown of the Dubi landscape. The project showcases a number of outstanding technical and construction achievements such as the central dome that will become the world’s largest 360-degree projection surface, pavilions to represent more than 190 countries and a metro station to bring millions of people to its doors. SESC are installing MEP services and lighting for the Expo 2020’s public realm, including all light fittings, power, DALI, DMX controls, PAVA Speakers and associated cabling, Fire Alarm cabling, Scientecnic Power Pedestals and Lighting Control Panels, and all associated MEP equipment across the Expo 2020 Urban Planning and Public Realm. We are working at the central garden (Al Wasl, Arabic for “the connection”), the main entry plaza, the long pedestrian loop linking the districts, and four parks. These spaces exemplify how the experience of the public realm can be enhanced while mitigating. The Al Wasl garden is protected by a domed, 65-meter-high trellis, designed by AS+GG (Architects). This structure’s fabric panels shield visitors from the sun, allow free air movement, and provide a projection surface for outdoor entertainment.
